Positive: The Alex looked as equally beautiful on the outside as it did on the inside. The decor was classy and welcoming. The staff were polite and friendly. They asked us the usual questions when checking in - where are you from, is it your first time, what are your plans etc but they genuinely looked like they were interested. We were given a complementary upgrade at check in which was a bath robe & slipper. This just added to the wonderful experience we had. I don’t know whether this is a usual thing or if it was because we checked in on Valentine’s Day? The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated, the bed was comfy and the food in the restaurant (breakfast) was gorgeous with something for everyone and very reasonably priced. I would definitely go again and I would definitely recommend The Alex to anyone.
